Bill Dumond of Pacific West Painting and Drywall is an absolute pleasure to work with. From the estimate, to the walk through, to the job, to the completion, Bill and the team were professional, courteous, and responsive. The quality of service I received from this company is, unfortunately, unparalleled these days. Bill took the time to explain to me certain specifications of the paints and explain the processes used in detail. The value of the work performed was totally unmatched, and the time it was completed in blew me away.

I found Pacific West to be an outstanding value and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for painting services in the San Fernando Valley, and beyond. In addition, I look forward to using Pacific West again in the future for any and all painting needs.

Wow, Look at the House Paint Job, Northridge, Ca

I called Bill for a free estimate to paint the exterior of our 1951 one story 1200 sq. ft. ranch-style house. Bill came and walked all around the house and took notes, asked me questions, answered my questions. Then he left with his notes to write up a detailed estimate. This is a main reason why we chose Pacific West Painting.

Other painters would just give me a number right then. I didn’t trust that they could really see the extent of the work that needed to be done. Bill got it. He knew the house was in bad shape and needed a ton of good, detailed prep work. He seemed to love the idea of turning our peeling paint and cracking stucco into a great looking house.

Scheduling the job was challenging because Bill is busy and in demand! Also, the weather was not cooperating and we were having lots of fall rain. When the job got started, there were 4 to 5 guys here every day for 6 days. They traveled to our house in Northridge from Ventura (an hour’s drive), and Bill himself came by most days. The prep for the painting was detailed and exactly what I thought his crew would do.

Bill also recommended a great carpenter, Adam Hamilton, who did some awesome and much appreciated work for us too! I can’t really explain how much it means to us that they were so detailed and careful with our house. The paint and the house looks really beautiful now.

Bill didn’t charge a penny over his original estimate and my interactions with him over the whole process was great. He and his crew accommodated our crazy schedules and were willing to work the weekend to get the job done.

Finally, just this morning, I could hear someone say as they were walking by, “Wow, look at that house. What a nice house!” Thanks Bill and your crew!

Great Paint Job!- Northridge, Ca

We live in Northridge, where the temperature ranges from freezing to the 100s throughout the year. Prior paint jobs were peeling and cracking off of the wood on our 45 year old house within 2 years. We were getting by patching the worst spots between repaints. When I drove by a well-maintained neighbor’s house and saw three guys scraping fascia carefully by hand, I stopped and got a card. Pacific West provided a dossier of ratings, referrals, lists of nearby homes they had painted up to 8 years ago to inspect. Bill, the owner, explained that we needed to change to water based paint because it was less brittle and held its color better. We decided to have them replace all of the old paint on the house; this included our house length, 70′ wood patio roof for $500 more. They came when they said, there were up to 5 guys working on the house sometimes, taking great care with the details, like painting the old window glazing, and scraping and patching the old wooden gate before repainting it. They moved heavy cabinets my husband and I could not, they were extremely neat, even covering a neighbor’s car in plastic in case there was overspray. There was no mess left after the job was finished, they replaced the cabinets and left extra paint behind without being asked. I’ve never seen such a thorough, careful paint job. They worked at least 10 hours a day for five days. They are bonded and insured with a state license.

Customer Review: Exterior and Interior House Painting in Northridge California

Pacific West first painted the exterior of my home many years ago, I was so happy with that work, that I did not hesitate to have them paint the interior of my home. When trim needs touching up or I redecorate, I call knowing that I will get the best work possible! In 17 years, Pacific West is the ONLY contractor I have left alone to work in my home without supervision. I trust them completely and they have lived up to every promise and every expectation! Thank you and keep up the great work!
